Ben Gowland |

| Chief Executive Ben has overall responsibility for ensuring that Nene Commissioning delivers on its aim to improve the health of the practice populations it serves through effective commissioning on behalf of the 76 member GP practices. Ben has worked in the NHS for 12 years in a variety of senior management roles including time as the Director of Service Improvement and Quality at a major London Trust. He was the National Programme Director of the Emergency Services Collaborative Programme, supporting all English hospitals in improving their accident and emergency services. He gained a Masters degree in 1998 and continues to work with academics in England and Wales to appropriately apply effective private sector management approaches to healthcare. Ben is committed to supporting local clinicians to make truly transformational improvements in health and healthcare delivery to their patients. Julie Passmore |

| Programme Director – Northamptonshire Integrated Care Partnership As Programme Director for the NICP, Julie is responsible for ensuring delivery of the integrated care programme as a whole, ensuring that the right programmes of work are designed and implemented, that these programmes of work deliver the objectives of the Northamptonshire Integrated Care Partnership, and that there is effective integrated working between all members of the Partnership. Prior to this she was one of the first Service Development Managers employed by Nene Commissioning where her role was to take good ideas about how services can be improved and, working with clinicians and other stakeholders, turn them into reality. Her background is in a variety of finance roles including banking before she joined the NHS as a financial assistant in a GP practice. She has spent a number of years in the NHS in Northampton working in both corporate and practice-based roles. She is driven by a desire to improve services for patients and to support the organisation in listening to and acting upon the views and experiences of clinicians and service users. Lesley James |

| Lesley is currently on secondment to Nene Commissioning from Northamptonshire Provider Services where she was Locality Manager for Adult Services in Daventry and South Northants, a post she held for eighteen months.Lesley has worked in the NHS since 1980 in a variety of nursing roles, joining Northamptonshire District Nursing service in 1987.After gaining a First Class Honours Degree in Professional Practice, she became a Hospital Macmillan Nurse at Northampton General Hospital before leaving to pursue her career in Health Service Management. | Health Information Manager - Northamptonshire Integrated Care Partnership Hema is responsible for the day to day analysis and management of all information required to support the objectives of the NICP, including report preparation and dissemination.She joined Nene Commissioning in June 2009 from NHS Northamptonshire where she worked in Data Quality and Audit.Prior to that she was a Primary Care Contracts Administrator.She worked at Barclaycard after graduating in 2002 and then joined the NHS in 2004. Nick Slater |

| Team Support - Northamptonshire Integrated Care Partnership Nick joined Nene Commissioning in January 2009 to help set up the patient and public involvement database.He was appointed as Team Support for the NICP in June 2009.Until he was 27, Nick was a professional musician.After taking a degree he began 10 years working in finance for British Telecom. | Service Development Manager Sarah has worked in the NHS for 25 years, 13 of these in General Practice in Northamptonshire.She became a fund-holding manager in a total purchasing organisation before joining Daventry and South Northants PCG in 1999.In 2006 Sarah left the PCT to join DSN Healthcare, the GP practice-based commissioning consortium in Daventry and South Northants.In April 2009 she joined Nene Commissioning as a Service Development Manager. Sally Picken |

| Service Development Manager Sally has over 19 years experience as an NHS manager, 15 of those as a general manager in a range of acute hospital settings including Nottingham, Plymouth and Torbay. She enjoys multidisciplinary working, service redesign and multiagency working. In the last 4 years she has been Head of Secondary Care Commissioning for 2 PCT’s in Northamptonshire before moving to practice based commissioning in October 2006 in Daventry and South Northants and more recently Nene Commissioning in April 2009. | Service Development Manager Geraldine is one of three Service Development Managers and her role is to support GPs and the multi-disciplinary team in designing and re-designing clinical care pathways. She has over 20 years experience in the NHS covering operational management, strategic development and service improvement. | Head of Communications and Organisation Development Ian’s role is to support the organisation in communicating well with its stakeholders. As a community interest company, Nene is working to demonstrate the highest levels of transparent engagement with partners, patients and the public. At the same time, the organisation’s ground-breaking projects are attracting national attention and Ian is helping to maximise this profile. He has over 25 years experience in the NHS and, as the corporate Head of Communications in three major hospital Trusts, he has taken the lead on patient and public engagement, corporate communications, national and local media relations, marketing and a range of change management projects. Anne Holland |

| Information Analyst Anne's role is to ensure that the business cases produced by Nene Commissioning have a clear evidence base. She effectively provides the rationale of "why" we should do things through effective research and by providing relevant activity information. She is committed to bringing clarity to sometimes complex information. She achieved a first class degree in psychology before gaining a PhD from Dundee University. She worked in Public Health in Northampton from 1990 to 2006, first as a research officer then gradually evolved into a Public Health Analyst. She has two children and enjoys horses and gardening. Davina Merriman |

| Office Manager Davina joined Nene Commissioning in June 2009 as Office Manager with responsibility for co-ordinating all of our administrative services and managing the admin team. She has a long career history in the NHS, starting as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive at University Hospitals Leicester.She worked with Peter Homa at the beginning of the National Patient Access Team before it evolved into the Modernisation Agency which she left in 2001. Davina then took time out to bring up her two children before joining Nene. |
