Nene Commissioning Makes News
27 Jul 2010

Following the publication of the coalition Government's White Paper on health, GPs from within Nene Commissioning have been called upon to undertake a wide range of interviews with the national media.

The successful model for GP commissioning we have developed is generally recognised as being a strong forerunner of the Government's proposals.  We have appeared on Radio 4 (twice in two days), BBC News 24 and the Guardian and Daily Telegraph newspapers.  Numerous articles have appeared or are appearing in the professional press including GP magazine, the BMJ, the Nursing Standard and Healthmatters amongst others.

Googling Nene Commissioning will provide links to many of these positive articles.

Nene Commissioning's third Annual Report and Business Plan is now available.  The Annual Report, which covers 2009/10, describes the continued growth of the organisation with particular emphasis on the schemes which are changing the lives of people in Northamptonshire.

In our Business Plan, which outlines our plans for 2010/11, we describe how we will continue to strengthen the role of primary care in the county and how our practices may respond to the challenges posed by the reduction in public spending by working more closely together.
