Nene is delighted to announce that we won an award at the National Association of Primary Care awards on 1st November. We won the Best Outcome-Focused Redesign award for our Community Elderly Care Service. This is the fourth consecutive year that Nene has won at these awards.

The Community Elderly Care Service was launched in December 2010 and aims to provide alternative care outside of hospital for frail elderly people in Northamptonshire. To date the service has allowed over 500 elderly people to be treated in their own homes or in the community where in the past they would have been admitted to hospital. This is less disruptive for the patient and their carers and provides a dedicated clinical assessment for each patient.
